Mastering interaction with the financial media presents financial planners with a robust opportunity to raise their public profile, which can lead to new business opportunities. But it takes skill and the right mindset to achieve. In Media Mastery, financial planners are presented with guidance on effective communication that can make media interaction positive, but that will lead to developing long-lasting relationships with journalists that will pay off for the long-run. The skills presented are also impactful in all communications outside of just working with journalists since effective communication is a necessity
in working with clients, prospects and centers of influence.

Learning Objectives:

  • Better understand the necessary skills for working with journalists that help position you as a financial planning expert and protect your reputation.
  • Forge an understanding of the opportunities within FPA to build your personal brand and profile that can lead to more business.
  • Explore the critical communication skills that all financial planners need to be more effective communicators with the media, clients and prospects.
