The Overlooked Gap in Financial Advice:
Why and how providing guidance on property and casualty insurance can help clients and advisors

Jason Moreland / Chubb Personal Risk Services
1 CFP, CPA, CIMA, TDI CE

Clients - and especially affluent clients - of financial planners and advisors often have inadequate property and casualty (P&C) insurance, and frequently none at all in key areas.  This exposes them to greater financial risk than they and often their advisors understand.  This one-hour live program discusses those risks and explains how financial advisors can provide P&C guidance and counseling, even if they are not insurance experts or sell such insurance.

Learning objectives:

  • Participants will learn the extent to which an accident/mechanical failure/incident drawing on P&C insurance coverage can easily reach policy limits and require spending down of significant retirement and other assets
  • Participants will learn that protection from financial calamity can be relatively inexpensive in dollar terms through more wisely selected and more comprehensive P&C insurance coverage
  • Participants will learn what tools are available to them to educate themselves on better P&C coverage
