FPA Houston Recognized at 2009 Leadership Conference

The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) of Houston was recognized at FPA’s 2009 Chapter Leaders Conference as a Roadmap to Success Recipient. The chapter was honored for its accomplishments and efforts in chapter operations, chapter leadership, community outreach, member outreach, membership development and special achievements.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for our achievements,” said Andrew Gardener, president of FPA of Houston. “We’ve worked diligently over the past year to increase our success and are proud that our efforts have been recognized on a national level.”
FPA President Richard Salmen, CFP®, CFA, CTFA, EA, and Chapter Leadership Resource Council Chair Reed Fraasa, CFP®, presented the award. Cole Campbell, CFP®, President Elect; Laura Rowley, CFP®, Membership Director; Melisa Hall, FPA Houston Executive Director; Kurt Box, CFP®, 2010 Education Director; Ben Keel, III, CFP®, 2010 Membership Director; Andrew Gardener, CFP®, President, Shannon Pike, CFP®, Chairman; Don McCurdy, Pro Bono Director; and Jason McGarraugh, CFP®, Public Relations Director accepted the award on behalf of FPA of Houston.
